Progress Report 2020 #20

It’s Friday, time to look at what we’ve done for the last week.

Words written (week/YTD): 13,671 / 251,807

1,033-words of admin + 4 projects.

I am so close to being done with two projects. One is the “short story” that has run away with itself, the other is a novella for a different pen name. They are both going to need a decent amount of work on the back end (as always), so “done” is never done.

Because of scheduling, and the holiday weekend, I know I”m not going to beat my best word count out of the past several Mays. But I did pass the count from last year, 2013, and the Average of the previous 7 Mays. It’s always nice to do better than past versions of myself.

95 pages edited

That’s 65% of the month’s editing down last week. Another tiny chunk bitten out of the thing… before the pile gets about 3x as much added back in.

I probably need to rework my schedule to add in my editing-specific days. Be the solution, not the problem, Amy.

What I’m reading

This week’s only reads were two short books I don’t even plan on putting on my GoodReads “read” shelf because they were such disappointments.

The rest of my reading time was taken up by those 95 pages of editing.

  1. You're doing great! I've been lucky to get 200 words a day lately.
